Our kids (infant through 6th grade) experience safe, age-appropriate environments where they learn about Jesus in a creative and engaging way.
We would love to see you and your family visit us.
What to Expect
If you're visiting for the first time, stop by our Welcome Desk in the upper-level lobby. There we will lead you to the kids ministry wing on the lower-level, help you check-in your child, and then one of our volunteers will lead your child to their age-appropriate room.
Because Jesus loves children and desires that they come to Him, we too invite and encourage them to meet, know, and love Jesus. So, in an effort to provide children with a working understanding of the Bible and inclusive participation within the Church, we offer two kid-friendly ways for them to engage.
Before the service:
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION (ages 2 - grade 6)
Before the service @ 9:00 - 9:45am
During the service:
NURSERY (ages 0 - 3)
During the service @ 10:00 - 11:20am
BRIGHT LIGHTS(age 4 - grade 4)
Dismissed during the service @ 10:30 - 11:20am
Christian Education
Parents can sign their kids in at 8:50am and classes run from 9:00-9:45am.
All classrooms are located up the ramp on the lower-level.
During this time, parents are invited to take part in Christian Education for adults on the upper-level in our Fellowship Hall which begins and ends at the same time as the kids.
Age 2 - Grade 1
Through biblical stories and discussion focused on how they point to Jesus, kids will be shown who the Bible says we are and who it says that Jesus is. Not only will they begin to grasp God's amazing plan of salvation but realize why Jesus is their only hope in life and death. To do this we use the Jesus Storybook Bible and highly recommend it to parents to use this at home with younger children. This take place in the safety of our lower-level classrooms led by screened adults who have a desire to see kids grow in the Gospel with one another.
Grade 2 - 6
These classes are designed to help kids grasp the biblical basics that every Christian should know. The memorable method of questions and answers, where interaction with the Bible's claims is encouraged. Over the years, through review and repetition, children will gain a better understanding of the Word and what it teaches, providing them with a firm foundation in the Gospel of Jesus Christ to continue to build upon. This takes place in the safety of our lower-level classrooms led by screened adults who have a desire to see kids grow in the Gospel with one another.
Nursery
Parents can sign their kids in before the service begins.
Nursery is available through the entire service.
The Nursery is located up the ramp on the lower-level.
Parents pickup their kids immediately after the service is finished.
Ages 0 - 3
More than just a place to play, infants and toddlers are cared for by screened, loving adults who will take the time to read and speak about Jesus to those who can understand.
Bright Lights
Parents can sign their kids in before the service begins and are dismissed during the service before the sermon.
All classrooms are located up the ramp on the lower-level.
Parents pickup their kids immediately after the service is finished.
Age 4 - Grade 5
These classes offer a more kid-friendly approach to understanding the same passage of Scripture that's being preached that Sunday morning. This is made available to help kids increase their understanding of the sermon passage so that parents might have deeper faith-based conversations about the truth of the Bible with their children afterwards. It is our hope that this will increase a child's ability as they grow to better track with Scripture and grasp its truth when preached. This takes place in the safety of our lower-level classrooms led by screened adults who have a desire to see kids grow in the Gospel with one another.
Parent's Viewing Room
Strathmore Alliance offers childcare during service for infants. but we also have a parent's viewing room that is available for mothers and fathers with infants. This room is located adjacent to the sanctuary entrance and reserved exclusively for parents with infants to enjoy the service in a more private and quiet environment.
Children's Ministry Registration
Below you will find a registration form for our Children's Ministry. The goal here is that we have the relevant information about your child so we can best serve both them and you during the Sunday Worship Service.
